FINISHED: February Photo A Day Challenge!

Happy Leap Year Everyone!!

However, I will say, my lil issue with leap year...when I picture "leaping" I picture being shorter than walking...so technically, in my logic, a leap year should be SHORTER instead of longer than a regular year...just saying...that's my beef with Leap Year!

Now...on to my photo a day challenge...

Part 1: Day 1-16 (from left to right...)

Feb Photo A Day pt. 1

Day 8: Sun...this is where I'm first hit by the sun every day on my way to work!
Day 9: Front Door...pretty self explanatory I think?

Lovesessed with Kate Spade!

I'm not sure when this lovesession got serious...but I think The Glitter Guide is to blame....

A while back they had this awesome post about 10 Instagram Brands & Individuals You Should Follow. Due to my instagram addiction, I quickly added a few of the brands/individuals listed!

First, to follow katespadeny on Instagram, you need to have will power. They are ALWAYS posting the most delicious looking treats! Next, be prepared to fall in love! I was never a non-Kate Spade fan, I was neutral, but all of the colorful, inspirational, yummy posts just developed into my lovesession...I mean she and I are definitely on the same page!

Here are some of my most favorite items:
Kate Spade <3

Are you noticing a trend up there?! Gold and Polka Dots...my weakness... I just ordered the "Eat Cake for Breakfast" T-Shirt and the Ticker Tape Gold Polka Dot Mugs....the plates are going to be my next splurge... love love loveee!

And.....HOT off the F/W 2012 Runway....

Are you kidding?!! I have the WORST trucker mouth...mouth of a sailor...whatever you wanna call it, it's bad. (embarrassing i know) I'm SO getting this shirt as soon as it's available!!

Hope you enjoyed see a little of my lovesession!

Gotye!

On February 2nd, I was fortunate enough to seeGotye for the 2nd time!

February 2, 2012 - El Rey Theater
If you haven’t heard of him already…I’ll clue you in. He isan EXTREMELY talented amazing artist from Australia!

Here is his first single…

My co-worker introduced me to his amazingness last summer andI thought surely he would have a show soon because he’s SOO good! Turned outthat he had a show ON MY BIRTHDAY last year! So of course, we got tickets!! Itwas SUCH a small venue and SO intimate! I love how he actually MAKES the musicon state…it seems so intricate and impossible to do on stage!

October 18, 2011 - The Satellite
When I saw him on Feb 2nd (which was at a muchbigger venue and SOLD OUT!) the vibe was still great but on a much biggerscale, he was now joined with more people on stage so you could definitely seethe growth from October to February. Kimbra was unable to attend for their songwhich was a blessing in disguise! (I just the chills just thinking about it)…sinceshe wasn’t available he asked all the females in the audience to sing her part.It was RIDICULOUS! I enjoyed it more than hearing her sing while the guys onstage stayed silent and played along!

Another thing I love about Gotye, is how diverse his albumis, sometimes it’s hard to believe it’s the same person…and even though healmost left me hanging he always comes back and encores my FAVORITE song ofhis!

Get ready to feel dancy…

Hope you enjoyed!

What's Cookin' - Cake Batter Dip!

I’ll start off by saying, this dip was thoroughly enjoyed and is addicting!

* 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 2/3 cup yellow cake mix
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
* 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
* 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
* 2 tablespoons sprinkles (I eyeballed it)
* 8 tablespoons water

1. In a medium bowl, mix together butter and sugar for 2-3 minutes until light, fluffy, and pale yellow. 2. Mix in salt, flour, cake mix, sprinkles, and vanilla. 3. Add water one tablespoon at a time, mixing after each, until you reach cookie dough consistency. (If you over do it on the water, mine got a little thicker after being refrigerated for a short while.) 4. Serve with dip-able goodies! I like salty-sweet mixes so I made sure to include pretzel rods!

Hope you enjoy!!

recipe from here,there are also some other eggless dips and discovered on Pinterest, of course...
